John was invited to join Third Rail after performing in their first production, Recent Tragic Events. His involvement in Portland theater dates back to 1977 and includes performances at Storefront Actor's Theatre, Portland Theatre Workshop, Portland Civic Theatre, and the New Rose Theatre. He received his acting training at New York University and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. John has a BA in English from Indiana University and has written several short plays.
